I’m His Child

I’m going to start this post with a little bit of my work history and the wardrobe requirements that went along with each.  This may not make sense at first but bear with me.  There is a point to it all.
Before I was married and when I was newly married, I was a career woman [...]

Our Loved Ones

This morning I attended the funeral of a young man who was killed last week in  a motorcycle accident.  As I looked at the parents and the grandparents, it was impossible not to imagine myself in that same situation.  Even to sympathize with what they were going through was painful.  Much less if it had [...]

Tolerance

One of the things I think many of us struggle with is being more tolerant of the differences of others.  I know, that seems to be a bad word and I’m not referring to outright sin but just those little things that tend to aggravate us.  For instance, I am a morning person.  I get [...]

A Getaway

You all know how much I enjoy getting away.  Not because I don’t like to be at home, I love being at home.  But when I’m here, I never take the time to just do nothing.  All the things I need to do are constantly running through my mind.  So even if I’m doing nothing, [...]

This Thing IS Magic

I feel so blessed that I have been able to find a good hair person up in this area.  When you move to a totally different area, that is one of the things you have to consider.  You have to find a new Dr.  and dentist, but almost as important is a good hair person.  [...]

Once again we have [...]

Julia’s Sports Banquet

Tonight we attended the sports banquet for Mercer Christian Academy.  They gave awards to all the students who had participated in any kind of sport this year.  This is Julia’s volley ball team.

We were extremly proud when she was given the award for middle school student athlete of the year.

Just for the Girls

I know this post is a bit silly but I’m going to talk about something that has for me made life a little easier.  It is a razor. I have just always had the attitude that the old cheap disposables work just fine so why would I go out and pay an astronomical amount of [...]

A Work in Progress

I love the fact that God is so patient with me.  As I look back on my views on different things, I wonder if God looked at me the way I would look at at child who had not lived long enough to learn many of life’s basic lessons.  I believe He does.  I have [...]
