About Me

My name if Phyllis Rice.  I am a Christian, the  wife of a amazing man who happens to be a pastor, and the  proud mother of 3 great kids.  I have a heartfelt desire to serve our Lord and to serve others in whatever ways God leads me.   I am not totally new to the blogging world.  I have been doing a blog for my church since March and have really enjoyed it.  I have also been blessed by the many blogs that I read daily.

I pray that this site will be of help to someone.  Mainly I want it to be a gathering place for all my old friends, new friends, and those I will meet through this blog.

ps I was in a car wreck on april 2, not my fault, 2 cars ran into us, but anyway, had a broken wrist, finally healed very well, then had to go for MRI and I have a tear in the cartialage, I’m having surgery next thurs, during my music camp! but my music minister told me not to worry about a thing, he is going to handle things thur/fri….I can’t postpone the surgery, since I’m a pianist, it’s got to be taken care of soon.
    keep me in your prayers.

  2. We’re sorry to have to miss music camp too. We loved it.
Sorry to hear about the car wreck. That’s a bad injury for a piano player.
Thanks for your comment. I hope I’ll hear from you alot. I really miss my friends and I hope this is a way to keep us in touch.

  3. Hey Charley — Hey Phyllis!!!! You guys look great, as always!! :) It’s so nice to see a recent picture of the two of you. (Curtis is asleep, so I’ll have to show it to him later.) We miss you guys. Hope you’re enjoying WV. It’s a nice place to raise kids and it’s gorgeous in the Fall.

We’re still doing the same old, same old. Looks like we may end up with 8 kids before long if these adoptions go through!! The life of a foster parent is never boring, that’s for sure! The babies are so much fun. I really love it!

Stay in touch!! We love you both!! Kim (& Curtis)

    god bless greg

  5. Hi Phyllis,
I’m not sure if you remember me. I graduated from OCS in 1987 and taught there from 92-96. I am trying to get in touch with Charity. I need her help in contacting graduates of 1985 for Dr. W’s upcoming retirement banquet. Would you please email me at the address I provided? Thanks a bunch :)

  6. Hey Phyllis! I want to make sure you know how much I enjoy your journal entries and pictures. I can tell from your writings what a warm, sweet person you are. Because I know Charley I realize how blessed you are to have him but from getting to know you I realize how blessed he is to have you. You have such a beautiful family and and I remember you all in my prayers daily as you serve him in ministry. Because I was saved under Russell Rice’s ministry, the Rice’s will always hold a special place in my heart. The Lord bless you, Phyllis.

  7. I was trying to look up what I can find about the Robert Sheffey Memorial Camp Meeting and through my googling I found your blog telling that you had attended in 2007 (I think).

The Camp Meeting is July 10-17 this year and my husband and I would like to attend. Roger Roller is the guest speaker and we have heard him several times in our area when he held revivals.

Now that my husband and I are retired we would like to travel there with our camper but cannot find out anything about the camping area.

Can you be of any help?

Thanks for any information that you may supply.
